What Your Result Means

Each figure represents the same total pay, just expressed over a different time period. This is useful for comparing job offers quoted in different frequencies, or figuring out your effective hourly rate from a salaried position.

How It Is Calculated

Calqora first converts your entered pay to an annual figure based on the frequency you selected, then divides that annual figure by 12 (monthly), 26 (biweekly), 52 (weekly), 260 (daily, assuming a 5-day work week), and by your entered weekly hours multiplied by 52 (hourly).

Worked Example

A $65,000 annual salary at 40 hours per week converts to about $5,417 per month, $2,500 per biweekly pay period, $1,250 per week, $250 per day, and $31.25 per hour.

Important Assumptions

  • Assumes 52 working weeks per year with no unpaid time off factored in.
  • Daily pay assumes a standard 5-day work week.
  • Does not account for taxes, deductions, or benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this before or after taxes?
This calculator shows gross pay (before taxes and deductions). Your actual take-home pay will be lower after taxes, insurance, and retirement contributions.
How is hourly rate calculated from an annual salary?
We divide your annual salary by 52 weeks, then divide that weekly amount by the hours per week you entered.
